Whitelist trusted IPs and manage blocked addresses.

IP Whitelist

The IP whitelist allows trusted IP addresses to bypass all security checks. Whitelisted IPs will never be blocked by brute force protection, firewall rules, or country blocking.

Adding IPs to the Whitelist

  1. Go to ArmorPro → Access
  2. Your current IP is shown at the top for easy reference
  3. Enter the IP address in the whitelist field
  4. Click Add to Whitelist

You can add:

  • Single IPs:192.168.1.100
  • CIDR ranges:192.168.1.0/24 (covers 192.168.1.0 - 192.168.1.255)

Tip

Always whitelist your own IP address before testing security features. This prevents accidentally locking yourself out.

When to Whitelist

  • Your office IP: Prevent lockouts during development
  • Your home IP: If you have a static IP
  • Trusted services: Payment gateways, monitoring services, etc.
  • Your hosting provider's IPs: For server-to-server communication

Temporary Blocks

When an IP exceeds the failed login threshold, it's temporarily blocked. These blocks expire automatically after the configured lockout duration.

Viewing Blocked IPs

Go to ArmorPro → Access to see currently blocked IPs. Each entry shows:

  • IP address
  • Reason for block (brute force, firewall, etc.)
  • Time remaining until auto-unblock

Manual Actions

For each blocked IP, you can:

  • Unblock: Remove the temporary block immediately
  • Whitelist: Unblock and add to permanent whitelist
  • Blacklist (Pro): Convert to permanent ban

Permanent Blacklist (Pro)

With ArmorPro Pro, you can permanently ban IP addresses. Blacklisted IPs are blocked from all access to your site.

Adding to Blacklist

  1. Go to ArmorPro → Access
  2. Enter the IP in the blacklist field
  3. Click Add to Blacklist

Auto-Blacklist

Enable auto-blacklist to automatically permanent-ban IPs that repeatedly trigger lockouts. Configure the threshold in ArmorPro → Brute Force.

Priority Order

When checking an IP, ArmorPro follows this order:

  1. Whitelist — If whitelisted, allow everything
  2. Blacklist — If blacklisted, block everything
  3. Temporary blocks — Check if currently blocked
  4. Normal checks — Apply brute force, firewall, country rules

This means a whitelisted IP will never be blocked, even if it's also on the blacklist (whitelist takes priority).
