Getting Started

Install CitedPro free and complete the setup wizard in under 10 minutes.

Installation

CitedPro is installed like any WordPress plugin. There is nothing to buy and no key to enter.

  1. Download CitedPro from srworks.co
  2. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin
  3. Select the ZIP file and click Install Now
  4. Click Activate Plugin

After activation, you will be automatically redirected to the CitedPro admin screen to begin setup.

Enabling the AI features

Every SEO and AI-visibility feature in CitedPro works with no key and no account. An AI backend is only needed for the generation features: AI content generation for meta descriptions, schema, and llms.txt. There are two ways to provide one.

Bring your own provider. On WordPress 7.0 or later, connect Anthropic, OpenAI or Google under Settings → Connectors. CitedPro picks it up automatically — nothing to enter on our side, no subscription, and your provider bills you directly for what you use.

Or subscribe to SR WORKS AI. Your key arrives in your confirmation email and is also available in your account dashboard.

  1. Navigate to CitedPro → SR WORKS AI
  2. Find the license key field
  3. Paste your key and click Activate
  4. You should see a green confirmation indicating the AI features are unlocked

If both are configured, the subscription is used, so your own provider is not charged for something you have already paid us for.

Tip

One SR WORKS AI subscription covers the AI features in both CitedPro and BoostPro. How many sites it covers depends on your tier — see pricing for the current tiers, and manage your active sites from your account dashboard. Cancelling only turns off the AI features; the rest of CitedPro keeps working.

Admin tabs overview

CitedPro organizes its features across seven tabs in the WordPress admin. Here is what each one does:

Quick start checklist

Follow these steps in order to get the most out of CitedPro right away:

  1. Complete the Setup tab with your business name, description, and contact information at minimum
  2. Add services and FAQs in the Setup tab to give AI systems detailed information about your business
  3. Generate your AI discovery files from the Dashboard
  4. Configure robots.txt in the Robots tab with your preferred AIPREF directives
  5. Verify everything by visiting yoursite.com/llms.txt and yoursite.com/robots.txt

Important

Your business name and description are required before AI discovery files can be generated. Complete these fields in the Setup tab first.

Importing from an existing SEO plugin

If you already use Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO, or SEOPress, CitedPro can import your existing business data to save time. Check the Business Setup guide for details on importing.
