Smart Generate

Overview

Smart Generate uses AI to help you create and improve the content that powers your AI discovery files, business profile, and SEO metadata. All AI requests are processed through the api.srworks.co proxy, so no third-party API keys are needed.

There are two distinct generation features: Smart Generate for business profile content and SEO Generate for per-post metadata.

Smart Generate (business profile)

Smart Generate helps you build out the content in your business setup. Available from the Setup tab, it can:

• Enhance your business description: Rewrite or expand your existing description to be clearer and more AI-friendly
• Generate services: Create service descriptions based on your business context
• Generate products: Write product descriptions optimized for AI discovery
• Generate FAQs: Produce question-and-answer pairs that anticipate what customers might ask
• Generate reviews: Create review placeholders based on your service areas
• Generate single items: Add individual entries within any section (e.g., one new FAQ or one new service)

How to use Smart Generate

1. Go to CitedPro → Setup
2. Find the section you want to enhance
3. Click the Smart Generate button (sparkle icon)
4. Review the generated content
5. Accept, edit, or regenerate

What Smart Generate uses for context

Smart Generate builds its understanding of your business from multiple sources to produce accurate, relevant content:

• AI Context: Your custom business context field and reference pages (see below)
• Homepage content: Text from your site's homepage
• Existing description: Your current business description in the Setup tab
• Existing sections: Any services, products, or FAQs you have already added

Before generating, CitedPro runs a context sufficiency check. If there is not enough information to produce useful output, you will be prompted to add more context first.

SEO Generate (post metadata)

SEO Generate appears in the CitedPro metabox on the post/page editor screen. It helps you create optimized SEO metadata for individual pieces of content:

• SEO title suggestions: Generates title tag options based on your post content
• Meta description: Writes a compelling meta description that summarizes the post
• Focus keyword: Suggests a primary keyword based on the post's topic and content

SEO Generate is context-aware. It reads the post title, content, and any existing metadata to produce suggestions that match the actual content of the page.

AI Context setup

AI Context is the key to getting high-quality output from Smart Generate. The more context you provide, the more accurate and useful the generated content will be.

Business context field

Found in CitedPro → Setup, the business context field accepts up to 5,000 characters of free-form text about your business. Include details like:

• What makes your business unique
• Your target audience
• Geographic service area
• Industry specializations
• Awards, certifications, or notable achievements
• Tone and voice preferences

Reference pages

You can select up to 5 published posts or pages as reference content. CitedPro reads these pages and uses them to understand your writing style, terminology, and the type of content you produce. This helps the AI match your tone rather than producing generic output.

Daily usage limits

Usage limits ensure fair access to the AI generation API:

Each click of a generate button counts as one use. Limits reset at midnight UTC. Your current usage count is displayed in the interface.

Best practices

• Fill in AI Context first: Always configure your business context and reference pages before using Smart Generate. Context drives quality.
• Start with the description: Generate or enhance your business description first. Other sections (services, FAQs) use the description as additional context.
• Review and edit everything: AI creates strong starting points, but you know your business best. Edit generated content to ensure accuracy and match your voice.
• Generate one section at a time: Work through your setup section by section rather than generating everything at once. Each completed section improves context for the next.
• Use SEO Generate after writing: Write your post content first, then use SEO Generate for the title and description. It needs post content to work effectively.

Privacy

When you use Smart Generate or SEO Generate, your business information and post content are sent to api.srworks.co for AI processing. The data is used solely to generate your content and is not stored or shared beyond the generation request. See our privacy policy for full details.
